Frequently Asked Questions

What is the frequency of our sessions?

Our tutoring sessions may occur one (1) to five (4) days per week, depending upon the agreement between the tutor and student/parent, and the respective program. 

 

What is the time of each tutoring session?

 Tutoring sessions will last approximately 45-60 minutes.

 

Who serves as Gap Bridger tutors?

Gap Bridgers’ tutors consist of high school students, college students, teachers and para teachers .  

 

Can my child’s teacher contact the tutor?

Teachers can contact tutors with prior approval.

 

Can my student get tutoring in more than one subject?

Yes, students can get tutoring in various subject as long as there is tutor availability. 

 

Can I request a different tutor?

Yes, a new tutor can be requested by sending a tutor change request to info@gapbridgersinc.org

 

Can my student be released from a tutor?

Yes, tutors have the ability to release a student from tutoring due to misconduct or other reasons as specified by the tutor.  If a student is released due to misconduct, the student will not be able to continue with Gap Bridgers tutoring program.  Students can also be released from tutoring if two or more sessions are missed without 24-hour notice.  

 

Where do the tutoring and Co-Op Programs occur?

Tutoring and the Co-Op offering  occur in the local libraries across the DMV or virtually.
